12.5mmThe ED eyepiece is a 6-element fully multi-coated optical design; utilising extra low dispersion (ED) glass on its most highly curved surfaces to minimize chromatic aberration that can hinder sharp planetary views. With a wide 55° apparent field of view; and a large 25mm clear aperture the Astronomica ED is one of the most comfortable eyepieces to use. Every eyepiece across the range is parfocal with each other; meaning little or no focusing is needed when changing from low to high power. The Astronomica ED eyepiece comes with soft rubber eyecups and a durable plastic case. In addition; if you wear glasses; you will enjoy the 20mm eye relief available on each of the Astronomica ED focal lengths. |

The mechanical features and build quality of these sleek eyepieces are very impressive; with all focal lengths having rubber eyecups; long eye relief; 1.25" filter threads; anti-reflection threaded barrels for maximum contrast; with brushed alloy finish on the barrels and a rubber grip ring. All eyepieces in this range feature a security ring; recessed into barrel; to help prevent eyepieces from falling out of focusers and diagonals. The entire 1.25" ED 55° angle range is par focal; so refocusing when swapping between eyepieces is not required!
