3x achromatic Barlow Lens (31.7mm/1.25in fitting)

This Barlow lens is fully multicoated for superb image quality and contrast. It contains two lenses and therefore produces high quality images without additional false colour. The body is of all-metal construction.

In addition; the lense's large diameter facilitates the use long focal length eyepieces; without vignetting problems.

Barlow lenses are used to enhance the magnification of any given eyepiece. The Astronomica 3x Barlow lens enhances the magnification 3-fold. This is especially useful for "fast" telescopes. With it you can triple the magnification you get with all your eyepieces; without compromising the optical quality.

One example: You have a telescope with a focal length of 500mm. Your shortest focal length eyepiece has a focal length of 10mm. This renders a magnification of 50x. With the addition of the Barlow you will have a new magnification of 150x and still retain the good eye relief of using a 10mm eyepiece.
