Nebula/light pollution filter for visual deep-sky observations. Useful for viewing faint emission nebula; as the filter allows passage of virtually all the radiation from both O-III lines; the H-beta and the H-alpha line.The prominent lines from artificial Sodium and mercury vapour street lites are effectively blocked. It is as a result of this strong reduction of the sky background glow that intricate detail in gaseous and planetary nebulas are greatly enhanced.
Threaded for 2" filters front and rear.

It is a while since we spoke (so to speak). I thought I ought to let you know I finally got around to putting the 6" through its paces. I am more than satisfied with the performance of the lens, even though the conditions at the times I was viewing were not ideal.
